Established in 1981, Lake Travis ISD has consistently been ranked among the best school districts in Greater Austin. Today LTISD consists of over 8,000 students. Lake Travis High School offers the highest standard of high school academics, sport and performing arts programs.

The 10 schools of the Lake Travis ISD cover grades PK and K-12. According to state standards, 94% of students in this district are considered proficient in math and/or reading. The district has an annual budget of $111,606,000, spending an average of $15,057 per student.

Lake Travis ISD’s campuses feature state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge architecture. The District encompasses 118.2 square miles that are bounded by the shores of Lake Travis on the north, Travis and Hays county line on the south, the Pedernales River to the west, and Lake Austin and Barton Creek to the east.

There are “seven core commitments” adopted by Lake Travis school district, promoting a healthy educational environment through a variety of approaches. These include lessons in citizenship as well as intelligence; promotion of technological applications and savvy; parental involvement to the endth degree; careful attention to the district’s own fiscal being; and of course, Lake Travis schools have always taken the safety of faculty and students very seriously.
