Recreation

Residents of Flintrock Falls and The Hills of Lakeway have access to an unparalleled collection of year-round recreational and entertainment amenities and a broad range of family activities.

The Hills Country Club – With 72 holes of golf, including the only side-by-side Nicklaus designed courses in Texas, the Hills Country Club offers an exceptional golfing experience. But that’s just the beginning! The Hills CC also features a state of the art tennis complex, a full workout facility, two country clubs for entertaining, a resort-style swimming pool, and an active social life!

The Nicklaus Designed Golf Course of Flintrock Falls – Membership in the Hills Country Club allows you to utilize the Nicklaus designed Flintrock Falls course and its sister course, The Hills, a Jack Nicklaus signature course. Located adjacent to the Hills Club house you will find the world-renowned Academy of Golf training facility.

The Academy of Golf – The Academy of Golf is the first site ever designed and constructed specifically for learning to play better golf. The Academy complex has a 500-yard learning center with target greens and three championship golf holes. Jack Nicklaus designed it and Tom Kite ranks it the number one training and practice facility in the country.

Tennis – The nationally renowned World of Tennis features 26 outdoor courts, 2 indoor courts and a recreational racquet shaped swimming pool. In 1974, the City of Lakeway sponsored the CBS Tennis Classic, which was held at the World of Tennis Center, placing Lakeway into the national spotlight. The success of the World of Tennis Center prompted the expansion of Lakeway into a third phase, known as the Hills of Lakeway. The facility has recently undergone a $4 million renovation and now offers an expanded number of amenities including a day spa, bar and world class fitness facility.

Lake Travis – Stretching over 69 miles, Lake Travis is the largest and clearest lake in the Highland Lakes chain, and the primary reason why the Lakeway area is such an inviting place to live. The lake is ideal for swimming, boating, sailing, water-skiing, windsurfing and even scuba diving. The lake serves as a beautiful backdrop for one of the most picturesque communities in Texas.

Lakeway Marina – Just one of the many marinas found on beautiful Lake Travis, Lakeway Marina is a full service marina with 320 boat slips. Lakeway Marina features a ship store with trained instructors to insure a great time on Lake Travis. All models of water craft are available for rent as well as the M.Y. Lakeway II, which accommodates up to 65 passengers for private parties or sunset cruises.
